WHAT IS GOVERNMENT e MARKETPLACE (GeM)
Government of India has launched Government e-Market place, which is the one stop online marketplace for all the buying and selling needs.Right from registering yourself as a seller to receiving your payment from the buyer, this portal has all utilities to complete a transaction from end to end. Here the buyers are various Government Departments.

REGISTRATION AS A SELLER IN GeMS PORTAL
You can register yourself or your Organization as a seller in GeM. A Key person in your Organization will be the Primary User and you may add another person as Secondary User. However, registering a Secondary User is optional and not mandatory. Even if you register a secondary user now, you can remove them later, if you wish to.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR PRIMARY USER
Keep the following documents ready to register with the Government e MarketPlace
1) Aadhar Card/ Virtual ID of the User
2) Mobile Number linked with Aadhar
3) Active Email ID
4) Other documents, as per the type of your Organization, called the Constitution. A Company would require CIN number, DIPP Number in case of a Startup company, Udyog Aadhar Memorandum for MSMEs
5) PAN Details
6) ITR details
7) Address details
8) Bank Account details
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR SECONDARY USER REGISTRATION
Not many documents are required to register a secondary user.
